gentoo:

emerge trac

RedHat:

yum install trac

generic (using python installer utility)

easy_install Trac

• create the trac instance, means you'll have to do this for every "website" you're going to install

trac-admin /var/lib/trac/<project> initenv

• check the configuration file if you want

/var/lib/trac/<project>/conf/trac.ini

upgrade

• with easy_install

easy_install --upgrade Trac
trac-admin /var/lib/trac/videoteca upgrade
